The driver, Maulik Umiyashankar Dave, aged 32, is currently under investigation as well.
During interrogation, the suspects admitted to acquiring the infant for ₹3.6 lakh from a person identified as Munnu near Himmatnagar. The trio was en route to Hyderabad to hand over the baby to an agent named Nagraj, according to police reports.
