Mahajan also provided updates regarding the Safesea Vishnu incident, where 15 crew members were safely evacuated after their vessel was attacked. They are currently being assisted and housed in a hotel in Basra, Iraq, as officials arrange for their return home.

Transshipment of LPG Vessels
During the briefing, special secretary in the shipping ministry, Rajesh Kumar Sinha, shared that the Shivalik and Nanda Devi ships have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz, carrying a total of approximately 92,700 metric tonnes of LPG. Given that India relies heavily on Gulf countries for its LPG needs, the successful passage of these vessels represents a crucial moment for the nation amidst escalating tensions.
